Our story begins in 1929 when José Gilar Jiménez founded the winery in the same place where it still stands almost 100 years later, in the very heart of Jumilla. It was in 1942 when his son Fermín Gilar Guardiola started working with his father at the age of 13, and only three years later he took over the business, expanding the facilities and making the winery grow. Years later, his own sons Pepe and Fermín joined him, modernising the machinery and increasing the production capacity.
The legacy that Fermín Gilar left after 75 years dedicated to the winery is still present today through the fourth generation, who joined in 2010 and currently manages it, sharing the same passion for the land and the cultivation of vines.
